They just keep building more and more rollercoasters and simulated rollercoasters. There's not a lot of rides at Universal for families with younger and older family members. They seem to only be interested in catering to teens and tweens. Imagine how much better they could be doing if they did a better job tapping into the families with kids and adults and not just teens and tweens.

Rode rip ride rockit twice this past week. 2 completely different experiences. In the middle of the train, it was a fun ride. In the back it was a headache. I want to see a back to the future launch coaster.

Studios is already an elite park, just not in the way of rides. It's the Epcot of Universal.

Giga or hyper, as over priced as this park is to get into they should be able to afford one with no problem.

the view this had from the hotels across the way will sorely be missed especially the night views with the light package it had. i understand it's been a maintenance nightmare forever so no surprise they're ready to tear it down, and place something new it's in spot. did manage 1 ride in the summer of 2023, and was glad I was able to get on it. that vertical lift hill scared the ever loving jebus out me for so long that it felt so awesome when I got off the ride saying, "wow. that wasn't so bad, and was pretty fun."

i know this might seem like such a strange business move or rather a strange idea in general however i think a total clean slate is needed, for profits and proper infrastructure, investment and overall prosperity, where to start re do the parks starting with galaxy’s edge, give us all of the star wars and i mean all of it, show stuff from the first 6 movies, keeping stuff like the lightsabers or the build your own i don’t see that being the issue, in my opinion just give it a sweet fresh coat of paint as well giving us something to look forward to showing love for the franchise, make stuff like clone trooper armor available kinda like in a build your own droid way i dont know either looks like a fantastic opportunity for universal especially since they are opening in May 2025

I’ll probably head to Walt Disney World again this year… Maybe I can go to Universal sometime down the road.

I have to say when I go back to Orlando, I'll still visit disney, but that's solely because dinosaur is my favorite ride, and I want to ride it as many times as possible before they close it forever. Once they do that, i'm just going to exclusively go to universal, and only universal. universal studios itself isn't very good, but islands of adventure is the best Theme park I've ever been to, and epic universe looks amazing.

Between this, Wicked and the upcoming HTTYD live-action remake, it's hard not to say that Universal has found a way to turn Disney's weaponization of nostalgia against them. And because the quality has been slipping as of late from the House of Mouse, it allow their competition to slip past them and do the things that they used to dominate in better than they can.

Disney needs to acquire the Game of Thrones (Westeros) universe. Their pass on Harry Potter was perhaps a fatal mistake. And the Star Wars has done nothing but devalue in the last decade. I know GoT is too adult for Disney's brand, but perhaps, it's time to branch out and build a "grown up" park as a compliment to Magic Kingdom.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure takes place during the 1927 Mississippi flood disaster. To the Theme Park Media, I researched 1927 on Google and discovered there was a major flooding event that flooded New Orleans in March and April of 1927 and watched a silent film documentary of The Great Flood on Amazon Video. Can you do a youtube video on the flooding disaster of 1927 which Tiana's Bayou Adventure was supposed to take place in? Let me know thanks.

A Universal Hot Take: Universal Japan already got DBZ, but you know who’s missing out on the fun? Murica. Anime is huge here, and maybe one day Universal can expand Islands of Adventure to include an all new section themed around DBZ’s West City… With a not single, not double or triple… BUT FIVEFOLD LAUNCH COASTER AS THE FLAGSHIP ATTRACTION!!!! Bonus points if it looks like it was designed by Bulma, and the name would be Capsule Corp Sky Blast. And that the building is the main entryway. But all in all, the land is more on the thrill seeker side. Oh, and character meet and greets with lines that could… stretch around the block. (To put things simply, “The line to meet Goku is now 3 hours long. Thank you for your patience!”) This would literally be a game changer for Universal. I wouldn’t be able to handle that coaster AGAIN after my first run- I’d probably throw up after I get off. Also, the potential location of DBZ: West City in Islands of Adventure? I’m going the space behind Jurassic Park- and the entrance is located juuuust before Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey (Aka before you enter Hogsmeade) but after the Jurassic Park Discovery Center. Imagine how the transition from prehistoric jungle to futuristic city would be pulled off!!! Also, Lost Continent should become Hyrule because of the whole Super Nintendo World craze (It just opened in Hollywood). And the flagship attraction would be the dark ride to put all other dark rides to shame- The Legend of Zelda: Hylian Expedition!!! Anyhoo, imagine if Capsule Corp Sky Blast has an INSANE pre launch sequence!!! So much it needs UNIVERSAL TO HAVE NEW TECHNOLOGY MADE FOR IT. And that being that Bulma (Voiced by Monica Rial) (Who is on a 360 screen) is trying to make something to simulate what being a Super Saiyan is Like, and then, Goku (Sean Schemmel) and Vegeta (Chris Sabat) are all like “What is going on?! I don’t think it’s stable!” BAM!!!! It comes outta nowhere, You’re officially launched- it’s being jumpscared in a good way. Oh, and how would the door open on time? Bonus points if steam is used to simulate smoke and lights flicker to simulate sparks while in the pre launch bay itself. Btw, for the ride itself- NO PHONES. This is a fivefold LAUNCH COASTER!!! (They’d be shattered beyond repair) Disney is shaking in their boots rn!! Also, has Universal ever made new technology made just for their rides before? And Capsule Corp Sky Blast could be an ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGER!!! Disney, eat your heart out!! Imagine how much trouble they’d be in!! I’m five and half minutes in to this video and there’s zero detail on what Universal is doing, beyond “they are opening a new park”. My guy, how about some details? How about what the new park will include, what rides, what experiences? How about what’s new or different at existing Universal parks? This just comes across as “Universal good, Disney bad” with no actual details.

Raptors are what got me obsessed with RMC. Stunt Pilot is AMAZING.

Wdw is getting rid of all the nostalgic things people love. If they get rid of rivers of america much of the scenery and charm of magic kingdom is gone (important even if you never or rarely go to TS island or ride the riverboat). Nostalgia card much MUCH weaker.

Their next coaster might be a looping one, considering that their last thrill coaster was me, and I opened 8 years ago back in 2016… Also at 1:40 if you look right next to the big bear sign, there is a fence and a unfinished path, it looks like that path is gonna be the next place Dollywood is gonna expand.

People need to unlearn the definition of the phrase "Get RMCed". With Schulte retired, every RMC conversion doesn't have to including raising the lift hill by 80 feet, giving the first drop a 89 degree angle, cutting every hill short to create violent ejector air, and inverting all the rest of the ride. A classic coaster can "get RMCed" without all that Schulteness. RMC needs to market their topper track as a track replacement for classic coasters which need to stay classic coasters and then market their I-Box track for coaster "conversions" when a park has a 1990s-2010s wood coaster which has lost its shine and needs a new personality and give that coaster the Schulte Slick Up.

Fun fact. RMC also made mini golf courses at one point Also I think people don't talk about the merger. Six flags was their go to park for a while and kinda still is or was until the merger. Cedar Fair refuses to work with RMC so at least in the states besides a few parks that already have an RMC. Where are they going to go for a hybrid job. what parks. Hershey park has one. Dollywood, silver dollar City, funspot, BG. They all have RMCs. Unless cedar fair can get over their stubbornness with the company then we might see the end of RMC. At least in the states

The thing about RMC's core problem-solving business of transforming deteriorating woodies is that they've got significant competition now. The steel retrack product is RMC's competitor to GCI's Titan Track, which seems to be getting more business. And now, Gravity Group has a precut *wood* retrack product conceptually similar to Intamin's old prefab coasters like El Toro, but for retracking your old coaster. That's a competitor to Topper Track, and judging from what's already out there in the field, it seems to be a more technically successful one. That's what Lake Compounce actually used on Wildcat already, and it seems to be working great.

Disney bad

Used to be a Disney super fan. We had 750 DVC points yearly, went to the Orlando parks for 2 weeks yearly and took a Disney cruise every few years. Disney's choice to explicitly influct far left politics and it's high price and low value business model drove me away. #DonewithDisneyFOREVER!
